Here To Serve

HKT is “Here To Serve” – this is the central message of our latest TV, print and outdoor adverts which re-affirm HKT’s commitment to serving our customers exceptionally well.

The TV commercial has captured various scenarios where HKT staff interact with customers and provide services of the highest quality. To name a few, these include field service staff making an installation at a customer’s home, a retail staff showing a customer the latest mobile phones and other gadgets, and a customer service colleague answering a telephone inquiry – and they are all real HKT staff. We believe that customers’ satisfaction and smiles are our greatest reward.

We also introduce our HKT Premier service, which provides tailor-made solutions to customers who demand even higher expectations than our regular quality service.
　

NFC流動付款服務

PCCW mobile最近宣佈與恒生銀行合作，採用近距離無線通訊（NFC）技術提供安全的流動付款服務。於明年上半年，用戶只需在付款終端機上揮動NFC手機，便可以信用卡進行交易。此服務將採用特別的SIM卡來儲存付款應用程式，以便客戶可隨時更換手機。

NFC mobile payment

PCCW mobile has recently announced to partner with Hang Seng Bank to provide secure mobile payment services using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology – in the first half of next year, a user can wave an NFC-enabled phone over a reader to effect payment by credit card. The service will use a special SIM card to keep the payment applications so customers can change their phones anytime.

「無極天機」

PCCW mobile客戶換機時可以倍感輕鬆方便，因為我們亦推出了手機資料轉移服務。此服務的「無極天機」裝置可以將客戶原有流動裝置上的資料，例如電話簿、短訊、相片及影片等，點對點高速直接轉移到另一裝置，而且費用全免，並適用於超過3,000多款手機以及平板電腦及不同的作業系統。
　 　

Ultimate Data Safe

Customers will find it extra convenient when changing phones with PCCW mobile’s introduction of a handset data transfer service. The "Ultimate Data Safe" service provides high-speed, direct point-to-point transfer of data such as phonebooks, SMS, photos and videos, etc. from one mobile device to another free of charge. It is applicable to more than 3,000 types of handsets and tablets of different operating systems.

HKT education

香港電訊的服務範疇超越電訊服務。HKT education於 10月底推出一項專為小學而設的全港首個綜合雲端教育方案，令學生、家長、教師、學校行政管理以至教育發展得以受惠。「HKT education電子學習方案」平台憑藉香港電訊先進的光纖及Wi-Fi基建，不但可讓用戶存取龐大的教學內容，更可協助課前備課及課後評估，以及透過平板電腦促進課堂上內容同步及互動。

At the end of October, HKT education rolled out Hong Kong's first integrated cloud-based education service for primary schools, benefiting students, parents, teachers, school administration and the development of education. Leveraging HKT’s advanced fiber and Wi-Fi infrastructure, the HKT education eLearning Solutions platform not only enables massive storage of education content for retrieval, but also facilitates pre-class preparation and post-class assessment, as well as in-class content synchronization and interaction via tablets.

HKT贏取大型商業合約

香港電訊是公營及商業機構值得信賴的電訊服務供應商，最近獲運輸署授出總值超過港幣1億元的合約，為署方轄下的路旁交通訊號控制、閉路電視系統及其他相關的設備提供通訊網絡。早前，香港電訊亦獲香港銀行同業結算有限公司批出合約，為其ICLNet及其參與的金融機構，設計及建造一個全面而靈活的骨幹網絡及提供網絡服務。

Major contract wins

HKT is a trustworthy telecom service provider to the public and commercial sectors. HKT has recently been awarded contracts worth more than HK$100 million to provide communication networks for on-street traffic signal control, CCTV systems and related equipment for the Transport Department. Earlier, HKT also won a contract to design and build a fully resilient backbone infrastructure and to provide network services for Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited’s ICLNet and its participating financial institutions.

捐贈硬幣予奧比斯

香港電訊於全港營運約3,700個收費電話，為市民及遊客提供便捷的電話服務。我們的收費電話不時會收到其他地方的硬幣。而於10月，我們將11箱近年收集到上述的硬幣捐贈予奧比斯，幫助其對抗盲疾。　

Coins donation to ORBIS

HKT operates about 3,700 payphones across Hong Kong to serve the public and visitors. From time to time, the payphones receive coins from other places. In October, we donated 11 carton boxes of such coins collected in recent years to ORBIS to help its efforts to fight against blindness.

便服日

香港電訊及其母公司電訊盈科於9月28日再度參加公益金便服日，合共籌得善款港幣5萬元，當中包括員工及公司的捐獻。我們亦於我們在facebook的客戶服務專頁呼籲客戶的參與。自我們由1995年開始參加這個年度活動至今，我們籌得的善款合共超過港幣100萬元。

此外，香港電訊及電訊盈科聯合贊助今年由香港電腦學會及上海市計算機學會共同主辦的「滬港青少年 IT 夏令營」。這個夏令營於8月在上海舉行，我們亦贊助了一批電話卡，供參與的香港學生於當地使用，讓他們與家人保持聯繫。
　 　

Dress Casual

HKT and its parent company, PCCW, once again took part in The Community Chest’s Dress Casual Day on September 28, raising a total of HK$50,000 which included staff and company donations. We also appealed to our customers for their participation on our official customer service facebook page. Since joining this annual event in 1995, we have raised more than HK$1 million.

In addition, HKT and PCCW jointly sponsored this year’s Shanghai-Hong Kong Youth IT Summer Camp co-organized by Hong Kong Computer Society and Shanghai Computer Society. We also provided SIM cards to the participating Hong Kong students so that they could keep contact with their family during the camp in Shanghai in August.
