香港電訊助建一流Wi-Fi城市

香港電訊很榮幸最近贏得「香港政府WiFi通」新合約，為政府場地設計、安裝及支援Wi-Fi設施，以進一步將香港打造為一流的Wi-Fi城市。安裝Wi-Fi設施的工程主要包括裝設超過2,300個上網熱點。除了速度及技術提升外，新計劃亦將擴展至約440個政府場地，當中包括毗鄰新政府總部的添馬公園、政府辦公室、主要公園及旅遊熱點、公共圖書館，以及文化及康樂中心。　

HKT helps make a superb Wi-Fi city

HKT is honored to be recently awarded a new contract to design, build, and support Wi-Fi facilities under the Government Wi-Fi Programme, further establishing Hong Kong as a superb Wi-Fi city. The contract work primarily involves the implementation of Wi-Fi facilities with more than 2,300 Wi-Fi access points. Apart from the speed and technology revamp, the programme also expands its scale to cover approximately 440 Government premises, including Tamar Park next to the new Government Headquarters and other Government offices, major parks and tourist spots, public libraries, as well as cultural and recreation centers.

管理層與員工齊聲響應義工服務

香港電訊集團董事總經理艾維朗先生（左下圖，左一）帶領超過一百名企業義工及其親友，於6月16日探訪黃大仙下邨的獨居長者，一同預早慶祝端午節。公司管理層身體力行參與義工活動，以顯示他們對義工投入社區服務的支持，同時希望以身作則，鼓勵更多員工積極參與企業義工服務。　

Thumbs-up to staff volunteer service

On June 16, Mr. Alex Arena, Group Managing Director of HKT (far left in bottom left photo), led more than a hundred staff volunteers and their friends and families to visit elderly residents who live alone at the Lower Wong Tai Sin Estate in celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival. Management joined the activity to demonstrate its support to staff volunteers’ dedication to community services and to encourage more active participation in corporate volunteer programmes.
　

公益金頒發「公益榮譽獎」

香港電訊於6月14日獲香港公益金頒發「公益榮譽獎」，以表揚公司上市時向公益金捐贈100萬元。當天香港電訊母公司電訊盈科同時獲公益金頒發「公益嘉許獎」，以嘉許集團積極參與多項公益金的籌款活動，包括僱員樂助計劃、公益綠識日及公益愛牙日等。　

President’s Award of The Community Chest

HKT was presented with a President’s Award by The Community Chest on June 14 in recognition of its donation of $1 million during its listing. At the same event, the parent company of HKT, PCCW, was also granted an Award of Merit for the Group’s participation in various Community Chest programmes such as CARE scheme, the Community Chest Green Day and Love Teeth Day.
