Elderly visit at Dragon Boat Festival led by HKT GMD

Mr. Alex Arena, Group Managing Director of HKT (far left in photo), led more than a hundred staff volunteers and their friends and families to visit elderly residents who live alone at the Lower Wong Tai Sin Estate in celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival in the past few years. Management joined the activity to demonstrate its support to staff volunteers’ dedication to community services and to encourage more active participation in corporate volunteer programs.
   
 
 
Youth IT summer camp

HKT and its parent company, PCCW, have been cultivating future IT professionals for years by sponsoring the Shanghai-Hong Kong-Taiwan Youth IT Summer Camp co-organized by the Hong Kong Computer Society, Shanghai Computer Society and Information Management Association, Taiwan.
   
 
 
The FIA Formula E HKT Hong Kong ePrix

To promote electric mobility, HKT was named as title sponsor to first electric Formula race in Hong Kong. The Race was held in October 2016 at the Central Harbourfront. HKT also provided an eye-opening opportunity for secondary school students of the Commission on Poverty’s "Life Buddies youth mentoring scheme" to join this unprecedented event.
   
 
 
Elderly Smartphone Workshops

HKT contributes our core expertise and knowledge of our employees to programs aiming at enhancing ICT and digital literacy skills in the community. We organized Elderly Smartphone Workshops to teach the elderly people how to use smartphones and common mobile applications.
   
 
 
1O1O presents: Concert in the Dark 2016

"1O1O Presents: Concert in the Dark 2016", which aimed to raise public awareness of diversity among people and promote social inclusion in the community. During the concerts, over 80 HKT and PCCW volunteers provided different kinds of volunteer services including crowd control and venue setting.
   
 
 
Free Ride Day

HKT and The Club have sponsored the annual Free Ride Day organized by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC). About 300,000 citizens benefited from the free rides on trams and two Star Ferry routes.
   
 
 
Continuous support for Earth Hour

HKT, together with the parent company PCCW, has been pledged our support to Earth Hour, an initiative organized by WWF, by switching off the signages at some of our selected company buildings and retail shops for one designated hour to promote green and low-carbon development among the public.
